I recently had a minor, outpatient surgery. I did not want to be disturbed post-surgery---as my husband captured here. My biggest concern was managing my blood sugars pre, during, and post-surgery. It all went really well because I was prepared!
Underneath my shirt....my pump, my CGM, and a bandage over a bad CGM transmitter insert. I look like I should be in a sci-fi movie or maybe a James Bond flick? Move over ladies, there's a new hottie in town! :)
The temps in our area have been INSANE. The heat index every day has been 115. I've had a heck of a time controlling my blood sugars. I had two sleepless nights of testing and injecting every two hours. I finally called my CDNE who told me the heat is incredibly hard on some diabetics. I'm to stay indoors as much as possible (no prob) and drink tons of water. I REALLY wish it were fall already!!!! :(
